[The Estate Backup Project] Urban Fabric Letterpress Postcard

When a city constantly undergoes "system updates," familiar neighborhoods are often erased. How do we back up the collective memories of these fading communities before they disappear?

From the iconic pastel facades of Choi Hung Estate to the breathtaking sunset sea views of Wah Fu Estate, these public housing communities have cradled the daily lives and neighborhood spirit of generations of Hong Kongers. As the wheels of redevelopment turn, these nostalgic landscapes and unique urban fabrics are on the verge of vanishing.

This is how "The Estate Backup Project" was born.

Before the bulldozers arrive, we are determined to document these disappearing map outlines and neighborhood silhouettes. Through the deep, tactile impressions of traditional letterpress printing, we create a physical "backup" of the fading city textures. This is more than just a postcard; it is a tangible archive of Hong Kong’s cherished estate spirit—allowing you to hold a piece of vanishing history forever in your hands.

Features a special holographic foil stamping technique. The map outline shifts into a vibrant rainbow of colors under different angles of light, beautifully recreating its iconic pastel facade.
